Serves as a Business Partner to departmental leadership throughout the organization by developing relationships and department specific knowledge. Utilizes said relationships and knowledge to perform a wide variety of financial consulting, accounting and analytical activities to support departments and improve outcomes. Actively participates in Finance Department team projects and established functions. Acts as a liaison between Finance and organizational departments to disseminate financial information and educates users in appropriate use and understanding. Facilitates the annual budgeting process, including setting up the budgeting system, coaching department leaders through the system, and promptly fielding and addressing any departmental questions or requests.

Job Type: Full Time (80 hours every two weeks)

Shift Length: Mon-Fri (7:30a-4p)

Weekend Frequency: N/A

Wage Range: $32.79-$49.18

Requirements:

-Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
-Minimum 3 - 5 years of related experience required

-MBA or CPA preferred

Supports Departmental Leadership Across the Organization with Various Financial Analysis

Researches inquiries from Leadership regarding monthly financial activity.

  • Completes financial analysis for capital and FTE requests as requested
  • Provides routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis for departments, such as performance dashboards, profitability analyses, etc.
  • Develops an operational knowledge of supported areas.
  • Serves as a Business Partner to Departmental Leadership
  • Establishes relationships with management regarding financial implications of organizational strategies.
  • Develops up-to-date expertise with departmental functions and strategic direction.
  • Works with departments to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Disseminates financial information and educates users in appropriate use and understanding Identifies and develops new financial reporting and monitoring tools (reports, dashboards, databases)

  • Synthesizes financial data and analyses to provide meaningful recommendations and conclusions.
  • Practitioner of Teamwork and Collaboration in Finance Department Initiatives
  • Actively participates in team meetings and other collaborative efforts
  • Openly shares knowledge and skills with peers, colleagues and management
  • Proactively looks to assist team members with projects and tasks
  • Contributes to team projects and/or established functions
  • Annual Budgeting Process Performs a portion of the GL set-up process (GL or Payroll)
  • Addresses any departmental questions
  • Reviews budgets of assigned departments for reasonableness.

Adequately documents budget changes and updates internal documentation.

Preferred Experience:

-Strata/Axiom experience preferred
-3 - 5 years of related experience in the healthcare setting preferred
-Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
-Excellent organization, time management and process management skills required
-Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills required
-Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines and high volumes required
-Advanced Microsoft Office Application skills required

-Proficiency with Computer Applications required

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including ability to create Pivot Tables, utilize functions, and formatting for presentation required
