The Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting both the Grosvenor Property Financial Analysis team and the Group Corporate Finance team by delivering high‑quality financial modelling, insight, and analysis that underpin strategic decision‑making across Grosvenor and its Operating Companies (OpCos). The role is responsible for producing robust portfolio analytics, evaluating financial performance, and generating scenario‑led insights that help shape investment priorities, capital allocation, and long‑term business planning.
Acting as a trusted analytical partner, the Finance Analyst ensures the integrity and consistency of financial information, enhances reporting frameworks, and contributes to the development of tools, methodologies, and processes that improve the organisation’s forward‑looking financial insight. The role will also champion continuous improvement, drive automation, and help embed best‑practice financial analysis across the Group. As the role supports both the Group and Grosvenor Property UK Finance Teams, it offers broad exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain complex, integrated financial models to support portfolio‑level decision‑making, scenario planning, and capital allocation discussions
- Prepare consolidated reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
- Analyse trends and variances to provide actionable insights
- Work closely with OpCos to gather data and ensure consistency in reporting.
- Assist in developing tools and templates for standardised corporate finance reporting across the group
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline modelling and reporting processes
- Ad-hoc projects as required
Key requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
- Degree-level experience with a minimum of 18 months in a relevant finance or accounting role
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; familiarity with BI tools is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience building end‑to‑end financial models (e.g. integrated P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) used for investment appraisal, capital allocation, or long‑term planning, rather than purely reporting models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Highly developed analytical mindset with the ability to identify value drivers, risks, and trade‑offs across portfolios or business units.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience translating complex financial outputs into clear, concise insight for non‑technical audiences.
- Strong interest in advanced financial modelling in the context of real estate.
Desirable requirements
- CFA Level 1 or above
- Direct exposure to investment appraisal, M&A, capital projects, or strategic finance initiatives, rather than solely management reporting.
- Advanced experience using BI and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) to build executive‑level dashboards.
- Experience operating in a matrix or international organisation, balancing competing priorities and stakeholders.
- Background in property, infrastructure, energy, industrials, or capital‑intensive sectors where long‑term modelling and scenario planning are critical.
- An interest in emerging technologies, including the application of AI and automation tools to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting processes.
Salary from £45,000 dependent on skills and experience with a competitive benefits package including a generous, non-contributory pension, free lunches and private medical insurance.
Applications will close for this role on the 30th April 2026 at midday.
