Financial Analyst

Position Spotlight:

  • 1-3+ years of experience
  • Strong computer skills with experience in various software packages, including Microsoft Suite and web based applications
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment and balance / manage multiple, changing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and an ability to adjust communication and messaging to fit the audience
  • Hybrid schedule – 3 days a week in office.  Lone Tree, CO office location

If you able to understand business operations through a financial lens and distill information down to the key drivers and assumptions, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices! In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO. This role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 3 days per week minimum, with 2 days per week working from home.

Your success in this role is measured by conducting variance and trend analyses to help understand drivers behind performance results. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including the Sales team to understand the forecast drivers at account, territory and regional levels and translate the variance to the top-down targets.

Key Responsibilities

     •     Support leadership in preparing revenue and CoGS budgets by gathering inputs, updating models, and ensuring       data accuracy in the Planning system.

     •      Assist in monthly IBP (Integrated Business Planning) and demand planning system review activities by updating forecast data and preparing summary materials to help ensure alignment between revenue and demand forecasts.

     •      Prepare recurring monthly reports to highlight trends, variances, and potential forecast impacts. Perform initial analysis and escalate significant findings to management.  Understand market dynamics and synthesize impact to forecasts. 

     •      Conduct variance and trend analyses to help understand drivers behind performance results, collaborating with business partners and senior planning team members to gather relevant context.

     •      Partner with Cochlear subsidiary leadership and Controller’s team to support and load the respective budget and reforecasts.

     •     Perform ad-hoc related analysis and tasks, as needed.


Key Requirements

     •     Bachelor's Degree

     •     1-3+ Years of Experience

     •     Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel

     •     Strong understanding of business models and drivers

     •     Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity; ability to meet deadlines and re-prioritize as directed  

     •     Knowledge of SAP and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) helpful but not required

  • Pay Range in the United States: $75-80K based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
