We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Financial Planning Analyst. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the financial future of our organization by preparing and analyzing forecasts, budgets, and the 5-year strategic financial plan. This is a highly visible role that collaborates closely with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Primary Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Forecasts and analyzes trends in finance and general business.
  • Updates and maintains information in the Hyperion databases and associated applications including outline additions/deletions and verification of data synchronization to SAP/Business Warehouse (PNG) and as needed for the Essential Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team.
  • Maintains and updates reports in Financial Studio, a Hyperion application.  Builds, changes, generates and distributes ad hoc and standard reports as needed.
  • Collects and analyzes financial information and tracks the company’s progress against financial goals.  Identifies and communicates issues to management.
  • Prepares and reviews disclosures for the quarterly and annual public financial statements as assigned.
  • Coordinates the preparation and consolidation of the annual operating report and strategic 5-year business plan
  • Acts as a liaison with regional accounting staff in the preparation and review of the budget, forecast and strategic plan.
  • Prepares monthly or quarterly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.  Monitors cash flow projections and analyses in conjunction with the budget, forecast and strategic plans.
  • Prepares assigned exhibits and schedules needed for the subsidiary board meetings related to budgets and 5-Year plans
  • Distributes the operating budget and forecast reports in a timely manner in accordance with scheduled departmental timelines and deadlines.
  • Uploads annual budgets from Hyperion to Lawson for all entities and verifies data moving through the process.  Researches and resolves any discrepancies and subsequent changes.
  • Performs other related assignments as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required Experience, Education, Licenses, and Certifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2-4 Years of Financial Analysis Experience
  • MBA Preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (Examples below)

  • Advanced ability to sue Microsoft Office suite:  Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other financial systems such as Hyperion and Workspace preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Ability to communicate effectively (clearly, concisely and professionally) with internal customers
  • Strong investigative skills required to research issues, interpret facts and provide explanations verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environment                       

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Perform sedentary work- exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.                       
  • See, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
