Micron

Financial Analysis Manager

San Jose, CA Full time

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

About Micron

We deliver DRAM, NAND, and emerging memory technologies that power fast-paced applications. These range from data centers and AI infrastructure to mobile and automotive. We are driven by innovation, precision, and a dedication to enabling the future of data.

About the Role

Central BU Finance acts as the analytical engine for Micron's business units—a lean, high-performing team across three executive groups: CFO, CBO, and CSO. This senior IC role offers excellent autonomy, visibility, and responsibility. You will lead complex modeling and analytics, guide promising team members, and provide insights that develop executive decisions. This position holds a central analytical role within the business. We seek someone intellectually curious, quantitatively skilled, and AI-native.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Business Planning & Execution: Serve as the primary lead for end-to-end business planning and reporting — owning input consolidation, variance analysis, and data validation; ensure internal consistency across pricing, segmentation, and market assumptions; using AI to accelerate workflows.

Scenario Planning & Financial Advisory: Build and maintain dynamic scenario models to pressure-test cash flow and balance sheet health; partner with business and market intelligence teams to size outcomes and deliver actionable insights to the Board, Finance Committee, Treasury, and senior leadership.

Recurring Executive Reporting: Lead high-visibility recurring reporting including investor-facing financial communications, broad company financial updates, and legal support; lead systems validation and UAT for planning tool deployments, ensuring finance infrastructure is accurate and production-ready before release.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a reliable Finance partner to business, corporate FP&A, Legal, and executive partners on complex, high-priority initiatives with minimal oversight; invest in high-potential analysts through coaching, feedback, and stretch opportunities that build the next generation of finance talent.

Risk Management & Inventory Controls Own the finance control layer for the business unit — implementing controls to handle inventory exposure, ensuring policy compliance, and building analytics to assess supply chain complexity, product rationalization opportunities, and customer concentration risks.

Insight Infrastructure & Continuous Improvement Serve as a proactive architect of the team's analytical capabilities — identifying blind spots, building AI-augmented models, and establishing scalable, reusable frameworks that improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and compound in value over time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in FP&A or business finance; semiconductor, technology hardware, or capital-intensive manufacturing background required.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel (dynamic arrays, LET, LAMBDA), and SQL required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field

  • Quantitative Skills: Strong interest in statistical reasoning — sensitivity analysis, scenario modeling, regression — applied to financial and business problems.

  • Systems & AI Tools: Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, or SAC; proficiency using AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate analytical workflows.

  • Communication & Reporting: Proven ability to deliver executive-level reporting, scenario-based financial models, and BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) to senior leadership clearly.

  • Technical Proficiency: Python, AI-assisted coding, and IDE familiarity (VS Code) strongly preferred
