Financial Analysis Lead Analyst - CarepathRx

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Analyst for CarepathRx is a finance analytics professional responsible for delivering high‑quality financial data, reporting, and insights to support performance visibility and decision‑making. This role focuses on advanced financial analytics, KPI measurement, and scalable reporting solutions, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, automation, and modern analytics tools.

The position works hands‑on with financial and operational data across multiple systems, leveraging SQL and business intelligence platforms to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. The role collaborates closely with Accounting, Operations, IT, and external partners, including Cigna stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Finance Analytics & Performance Insights

  • Lead financial analytics supporting performance measurement, margin analysis, and operational insights across partners and programs.

  • Develop and maintain scalable P&L, margin, and unit‑economics models used for ongoing analysis.

  • Perform deep‑dive financial and operational analyses to identify key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc analytics, including driver‑based variance analysis, benchmarking, and profitability analysis.

  • Develop executive‑ready insights and narratives for leadership and partner reviews (QBRs/MBRs).

Data, Reporting, and Analytics Enablement

  • Work directly with large, structured datasets using SQL to extract, validate, and analyze financial and operational data.

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical reports that enable timely, accurate, and self‑service access to insights.

  • Standardize KPI definitions and reporting logic to ensure consistency across analytics and reporting.

  • Partner with IT and data teams to improve data pipelines, reporting architecture, and data quality.

  • Use analytical tools (Python preferred) to automate recurring analyses and reporting processes.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Drive automation and continuous improvement in finance analytics and reporting processes.

  • Translate business questions into clear analytical requirements, dashboards, and data products.

  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, IT, and external partners to align data, metrics, and reporting methodologies.

  • Support stakeholder discussions by clearly explaining analytical approaches, assumptions, and financial drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in finance analytics or data‑driven finance roles; healthcare or pharmacy benefit management experience preferred.

  • Strong experience working with relational databases and SQL.

  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills; Python or similar analytical tools preferred.

  • Proven experience developing dashboards using Power BI or comparable BI tools.

  • Strong ability to translate complex financial and technical concepts into actionable insights.

  • Comfortable working in a complex, matrixed environment with evolving data needs.
