Job description – Finance Analyst

 

The Finance OpEx Analyst supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting for OpEx spend and Capital Expenditures in a fast‑growing, global environment. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate planning, disciplined execution, and clear financial visibility in line with Applied policies and best practices.

This position combines strong analytical execution with business partnership. The analyst owns day‑to‑day Capex and OpEx financial activities, performs both recurring and ad‑hoc analyses, and provides insights that support informed decision‑making by finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support end‑to‑end financial planning and tracking for OpEx spend and Capex, including budget planning, forecasting, execution monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support capital investment planning, scenario analysis, and long‑term capacity investments
  • Review, validate, and support approval of capital requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate finance policies
  • Consolidate the segment Capex plans and translate data into clear, actionable financial insights
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis and commentary for finance and non‑finance audiences, including periodic reviews and ad‑hoc requests
  • Act as a finance business partner to cross‑functional teams, supporting prioritization discussions and investment trade‑offs
  • Support continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting, and analytical tools

 

Key Qualifications & Competencies

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, budget planning, and financial analysis
  • Strong hands‑on Excel and analytical capabilities; ability to work with complex datasets
  • Ability to interpret financial information and translate analysis into clear insights and recommendations
  • Proven ability to work effectively with demanding stakeholders across functions and geographies
  • Collaborative, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, service oriented
  • Good verbal and writing skills (English)
