In this role, you will:

  • Provide consultation to more experienced leadership for financial accounting related matters

  • Perform complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, developing financial statements and regulatory reports

  • Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports

  • Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy

  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications

  • Analyze projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems

  • Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies

  • Provide functional advice and training to individuals

  • Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong Years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience in financial reconciliation, preferably in capital markets or banking operations. Proficiency in IntelliMatch and DART platforms for automated reconciliation.

  • Strong understanding of system-to-system reconciliation logic and SOR frameworks.
  • Maintain audit trails and documentation for all reconciliation activities.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance reconciliation logic and system integrations.
  • Monitor feeds from systems like Swift, Hogan, Oracle, and GL to ensure timely and accurate data ingestion.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and ticket-based assignments for netting, matching, and department tagging in Intellimatch and DART.

Job Expectations:

  • Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions
  • Review basic activities managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash and position data across internal systems and external custodians.
  • Utilize Intellimatch and DART platforms to automate and validate reconciliation workflows.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks by coordinating with relevant departments (e.g., Cash Management, Income, Alternative Investments).
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data by comparing balances between SORs.
  • Assist CMAO team members in project coordination and tasks to support CMAO project initiatives;
  • Act as an advocate with the third party vendor relationship with issue management and new product development. Participate and/or lead the business-side efforts in software applications development work.
  • Establish strong relationships with various functions and businesses throughout Wells Fargo and CMAO
  • Research and collect data from a variety of sources; compiles data from multiple sources, which may include data mining, compile and analyze results and summarizing reporting.
  • Coordinate and consolidate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for more experienced management.
  • Perform business/functional analysis to help define solution options and recommendations, including pros/cons and rationale for recommendations to a variety of audiences from peers to senior leaders.
  • Actively participate in unit, functional and user-acceptance testing project phases
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk projects, and regulatory requests.Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions
