The Financial Accountant provides advice, guidance, analysis, and reporting of financial information to Edwards Manufacturing Operations.
How you'll make an impact:
Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and maintain product standard cost in ERP system; gathering data and generating reports in support of manufacturing trend analysis
Assist in developing/updating quarterly forecasts and budgets
Research variance details to identify anomalies and key drivers, and provide explanations
Gather information to be used in presentations for management
Assist in compliance activities (e.g., SOX, key and internal controls, fixed asset audits, physical inventory)
Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and ready for review.
Support the month‑end process by completing assigned tasks on time and maintaining accurate financial records.
Help prepare, manage and submit grant claims (IDA Training grant, R&D Tax credits etc.) ensuring required documents are gathered and correctly recorded
What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
ACA/ACCA/CPA Qualified or currently pursuing one of these qualifications

Good computer skills in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and ability to operate general office machinery
Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Good knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to corporate accounting
Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
Good knowledge of financial concepts and principles
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment, including immediate supervisor and other team members in the section or group
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
