Our Financial Planning & Reporting team are looking for a Financial Accountant to join on an initial 9 month FTC, and there may be a potential permanent role beyond this for the right person.

We need someone to start quickly, so only candidates who are immediately available or on very short notice can be considered. It's a hybrid role based in our Central Support offices in Putney.

The role...

  • Producing timely and accurate financial information (daily, weekly, periodically, quarterly, annually) that enables users to make informed business decisions.

  • To identify problems, needs and opportunities for improvement at all levels of the organisation specifically regarding key financial processes.

  • To support the Accounting and Reporting team in providing the company with accurate financial information, and ensuring the servicing of internal and external customers.

  • To help produce the Financial and Management Accounts of the company and group, as well as other required ad hoc and periodic reports. To understand the processes operating within finance, and to engage with other central support stakeholders, to enable timely and efficient reporting

A day in the life...

As a member of the Reporting and Planning team this role's areas of influence will cover -

  • c.490 Restaurants - Significant contributor to the periodic management accounts. Ensuring the fixed cost base is managed effectively and varianes to Budget are accompanied by insightful commentary.

  • All Operations Managers - Production of Daily and weekly reporting schedules and dashboards that allow the business to review KPI's and manage ongoing performance.

  • The Leadership Team - Producing the Financial Reporting of the business for distribution to the LT and the Board. To assist in the production of periodic balance sheet recs, capex forecasting, fixed cost analysis, accruals and pre-payments, and all balance sheet and cashflow submissions to Group.

  • The Finance team: Dealing with peers across the finance team and understanding the processes involved in company accounting as well as being a key contact within finance for other central support stakeholders.

  • Support the process of tracking central cost spend and maintain a strong relationship with budget holders across the business.

  • Group Finance: Assist in production of periodic Group report pack and the annual statutory report pack. Assist with the quarterly bank compliance report and review loans and interest for the UK entities.

  • Understand the principles of finance and accounting, and the role it plays within an organisation.

  • A professional Accounting qualification - Preferably ACA or ACCA Qualified with 2+ years post qualification experience.

  • Multi-site experience in a large, comparable hospitality, retail or similar business

  • Prior knowledge and experience of IFRS standards would be an advantage.

  • A knowledge of producing reports, reconciliations, P&Ls and various other financial documents

  • Self-motivated with exemplary organisational skills, able to multi -task and manage their own work.

  • Great communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Needs to be competent in dealing with internal and external customers with the ability to be a role model within the finance department.

  • Strong computer skills needed with the ability to learn and develop strong knowledge of Coda and Anaplan.

  • Ability to explain and interpret financial information.

  • Willingness to learn, along with the ability to make improvements to routine processes.
