What we are looking for:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business and play an integral role in supporting the financial reporting of Fiera Capital Europe.
The Financial Accountant in London will report directly to the Senior Manager, Finance EMEA.

Your responsibilities:
The successful candidate will own or significantly contribute to one or more of the following activities alongside the team.

  • Support month-end close of key processes including revenue, prepayments, accruals fixed assets

  • Ownership of end-to-end month-end process for one of our regulated branches

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate unreconciled items in a timely manner

  • Perform variance analysis and providing insightful commentary

  • Ensure effective internal controls in line with Group Policy

  • Review and approve bank transactions and prepare monthly customer invoices

  • Supporting the year-end process and liaising with external auditors

  • Assisting with intercompany reconciliations

  • Drive continuous improvements with AI tools in the month-end close process and bolster productivity through automation of reports and processes.

  • Prepare billing and perform analytical procedures to ensure accuracy of accruals and billing.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • 2+ years relevant work experience

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, Chartered accountant)

  • Financial services or investment management experience is preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, finance or a related field preferred

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets

  • A strong ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and meet challenging deadlines

  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Confidence in collaborating across all levels of an organisation and build strong working relationships

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • An inquisitive mindset and willingness to learn

  • Self-starter with the ability to work on his/her own initiative

  • Proactiveness and resourcefulness

  • Ambition and drive to achieve desired outcomes and resilience in the face of setbacks

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Indexmatch, Sumif, Xlookup, Pivot table)

  • Knowledge of VBA/coding is a bonus

  • Experience with ERP system is preferred
