OVERVIEW

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will report directly into the Financial Controller and play a key role in supporting the finance activities for the continually growing CAA business. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and will require someone who can work accurately and to tight deadlines. Teamwork will be essential, and an inclusive attitude is required.

SUMMARY OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support across the entire Finance function which cuts across multiple legal entities.
  • Process and control implementation
  • Documenting process notes for all relevant processes
  • Assisting with audit requests (statutory audits under FRS 102 and US GAAP group audit)
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests from the Financial Controllers and Tax teams
  • Assisting with the Transition to the new ERP - SAP

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and document existing processes, producing accurate and clear process notes and instructions
  • Identify and establish effective control framework for all finance processes.
  • Where new processes are to be designed, work alongside the various finance SMEs to design best in class finance processes.
  • Provide required support to ensure smooth transition to the new ERP system – SAP
    • Data clean-up within current accounting system ahead of data migration
    • Involvement in data migration process
    • Involvement in User acceptance testing
    • Reconciliations between systems
  • Assist with month-end and day-to-day Finance activities across various entities, including but not limited to:
    • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
    • Support with invoicing and credit control
    • Preparation of month-end journals
    • Posting and reconciliation of bank transactions
    • Support in preparation of budgets and reforecasts
  • Perform calculations, analyses and reports as requested by the Financial Controllers or Finance Director (UK & International)
  • Provide support for completion of the annual statutory audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules and providing sample support

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, ideally with a minimum of 2 years post qualification relevant experience in industry.
  • Must have good, working knowledge of standard finance processes (i.e. AP, AR, GL accounting, Bank processes).
  • Must have strong ability to multi-task and manage various tasks simultaneously
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and great organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to be a team player with a conscientious and motivated attitude.
  • Good Excel proficiency e.g. VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP is desirable.
