Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and updated financial records.
Accurately record financial transactions in the standard accounting format.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records to ensure compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve basic financial queries and maintain data integrity
Assist in managing the credit control aspects of the business.
Assist in preparing and processing invoices, payments and receipts.
Ensure all processes are documented in a standard format and maintained in an accessible fashion.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet financial obligations.
Work Experience:
Necessary Work Experience includes:
Some or basic relevant work experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
Preferred Work Experience includes:
Experience in shared services or corporate finance environments.
Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives.
Experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
Qualifications:
Necessary Qualifications include:
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications include:
Current or pending certifications as an accountant.
Travel Frequency:
Infrequent (approximately 1-4 trips annually)

General office jobs: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer. Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 lbs.
