The Finance Senior Manager – Indirect Tax will lead VAT advisory and compliance activities across the MENAT region, ensuring full adherence to local VAT laws and supporting the business with expert guidance. This role requires strong technical VAT knowledge, hands‑on experience dealing with tax authorities, and the ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to senior leadership.

As a Finance Senior Manager - Indirect Tax, you’ll play a vital role in contributing to the strategic plan of the larger unit. You will be responsible for:

 ·  VAT Advisory & Strategy

• Provide expert VAT advisory support to business units across MENAT.
• Assess VAT implications of new business initiatives, contracts, and transactions.
• Monitor legislative changes and proactively advise leadership on impacts and required actions.

·  VAT Compliance & Reporting

• Oversee timely and accurate VAT filings across multiple MENAT jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with local VAT regulations, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal VAT policies, controls, and process improvements.

·  VAT Refund Management

• Lead end‑to‑end VAT refund processes, ensuring timely submission and follow‑up with authorities.
• Resolve refund‑related queries and escalate issues when necessary.
• Track refund cycles and optimize processes to improve cash flow.

·  Tax Authority Engagement

• Act as the primary point of contact for VAT audits, inquiries, and clarifications.
• Prepare and manage responses to tax authority requests in Arabic and English.
• Build strong working relationships with tax authorities across the region.

·  Leadership Reporting

• Prepare regular VAT dashboards and key metrics for senior leadership.
• Highlight risks, opportunities, and trends across MENAT VAT operations.
• Support strategic decision‑making with data‑driven insights.

Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax law, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CTA, CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• 8+ years of VAT experience, preferably within the MENAT region.
• Experience working with Big 4 firms or regional tax authorities is strongly recommended.
• Proven track record in VAT advisory, compliance, and audit management.
• Strong understanding of VAT frameworks in GCC and broader MENAT jurisdictions.
• Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and strong English communication skill
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast‑paced, cross‑border environment.
