About the Role

As the Finance Reporting & Analytics Manager, you are responsible of the reporting system holding Elsevier sales data, responsible for the sales and revenue reporting and of the EPM sales forecasting tool.

You liaise with business stakeholders to understand their needs, automate processes, translate their requirements into insightful solutions, guiding users into using sales data independently. You partner with the technical team to define and prioritise requirements, write and test user stories.

You manage a team of four, based in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as functional owner of the Sales Data Warehouse system, an Oracle/ Snowflake database holding the majority of Elsevier’s sales data, overseeing the change requests and any incidents on the application

  • Leading and developing a team of 4 indirect reports based in Manila

  • Collaborating with the business to gather requirements and designed tailored reporting and analytics solutions

  • Building, maintaining, and enhancing a portfolio of Tableau dashboards to support sales and revenue insights.

  • Delivering critical global reports such as “Revenue by Persona” and “Revenue by Destination”

  • Managing the monthly actuals load into the EPM Oracle Cloud Fusion Forecasting system.

  • Overseeing the annual rollover process, updating product hierarchy, customer hierarchies and FX rates.

  • Developing and communicating the strategic vision for finance systems and supporting technology.

  • Partnering with Digital Business Solutions team to align roadmaps, resources and priorities.

  • Managing business-led Jira stories—requirements gathering, prioritization, testing, and stakeholder communication.

  • Leading complex cross-functional projects with strategic impact across multiple business units.

Must-haves:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing new systems, tools, data sources, and dashboards to automate and improve financial processes

  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data

  • Excellent project management capabilities with a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within scope

  • Effective communication skills, capable of building trust and clarity among stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience managing and mentoring teams in a multicultural, multi-location environment.

  • Proficiency in Excel, data reconciliation, and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and data warehouses such as Snowflake

  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a financial or sales reporting environment, with a strong understanding of key metrics and performance indicators.

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence concepts, including Natural Language Processing (NLP) models and Generative AI, to support innovative analytics initiatives.

  • Programming skills in SQL, Python, or similar languages to support data manipulation, automation, and advanced analytics.

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion or similar ERP/forecasting systems.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.

  • Understanding of financial metrics, revenue modeling, and performance analytics.

  • An interest in emerging technologies such as AI and data science, with a willingness to explore innovative solutions to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
