Financial and Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of complete and comprehensive financial and regulatory reporting and analysis, for their area, in line with applicable internal policies and external regulatory, statutory and control frameworks.
Work includes:
•Managing accounting and financial risk and providing advice and guidance on strategic initiatives (driven by internal policies and/or external regulation) and new products that impact the entities /processes /utilities with their remit
•Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to provide comprehensive financial reporting and analysis and representing their respective function in relevant internal and external forums
Developing innovative business solutions and providing strategic advice and guidance to support the execution of business strategy, mitigation of risks and achievement of the bank’s/regions’/Division’s objectives.
Role Description:
We are looking to hire a Finance Regulatory & Accounting Reporting Lead
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a team of regulatory and financial reporting specialists.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Production of >100 regulatory reports for different regulators with ~1000 submissions per annum, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Internal reporting including balance sheet, P&L and regional submissions of general ledger
External financial reporting in compliance with various accounting standards
Lead continuous process improvement and automation
Build and maintain strong working relationships with the onshore teams to ensure a seamless operating model in line with the Global strategy
Ensure appropriate controls across all financial processes relating to the organization
Hiring, training and development of team members
Represent the function in various local forums and initiatives
Drive our talent management agenda including talent acquisition, retention, training, performance management and diversity as well as providing career mobility opportunities through effective succession planning
Your skills and experience:
15+ years’ experience with a proven track record in successfully managing and leading large teams
Strong background in process optimization and re-design to help deliver innovative solutions to meet client requirements
A motivated leader with ability to work under pressure and take the team along to deliver on organizations objectives
Relevant regulatory reporting experience gained in a large, multi-national corporation
Experienced in multiple GAAPs/ accounting policies
Demonstrated strategic thinking - an ability to take a long-term view on shaping the departments strategic vision in a way that is consistent with the CFO and the Banks broader strategic agenda
Excellent stakeholder management skills - a track record of influencing and managing senior stakeholders both within and outside the finance department
Presentation skills - as one of the senior faces of the Finance organization, the successful candidate must be able to represent the function and department in a highly effective and polished manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills. An ability to communicate appropriately with people at different levels within the organisation
