Do you have strong analytical, technical and reporting skills that you can use to support our Downstream Business Planning and Analysis (BP&A) Sales & Marketing organization? Are you looking for a role that will provide exposure to senior leadership and perfect your communication skills? As a key member of the Retail team, you will be challenged to provide critical insights, advanced business support, influence key decisions, and planning and performance reporting in relation to Suncor’s Retail business.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A University or College degree with a focus in either Business, Marketing, or Finance
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, coupled with a curious mindset and the ability to tackle complex business reporting challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate data into meaningful insights for the business and senior leaders
  • Continuous improvement mindset to improve performance reporting/insights
  • Technical understanding in SAP/SACP and interest in learning data and analytics capabilities and related technologies such as Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, Azure, etc

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely, accurate and factual performance insights and knowledge to enable prudent management of the Retail business
  • Execute the month end financial reporting process for Retail, including monthly briefing presentations and forecasts
  • Compile, prioritize and analyze data to generate monthly reporting on Retail financial and operational performance, highlighting key insights, opportunities and risks
  • Develop and deliver Retail business plan and forecasting across Canada using historical and growth trends in addition to input from the business
  • Act as a business consultant by providing decision support and recommendations to Retail business partners, such as Marketing, Pricing, Network Planning, Strategies and Operations
  • Act as an active participant on various project teams; responsible for performance reporting, analytics and insights

Location & Other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
