Finance Manager- Product & Technology
Your Team
Reporting into the Head of Finance: Technology & Product, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the financial management of our Technology and Product cost base (c.$500m). You'll be a key business partner to the Technology and Product Leadership Teams (CTO LT, OCTO LT, and CPTO LT), helping to drive financial rigor, efficiency and value creation while enabling the organisation to pursue growth and transformation ambitions.
What You'll Do
- Act as a trusted financial business partner to senior internal partners across the Technology and Product leadership teams, providing robust commercial challenge and decision support
- Deliver financial analysis and insights to advise on strategic decision-making across the Technology and Product portfolio
- Support the development, evaluation and governance of business cases, ensuring principled investment appraisal and clear prioritisation of spend
- Provide consolidated Technology and Product staff cost, FTE and total opex reporting on a monthly basis
- Prepare and review financial reporting packs for management and leadership teams, including monthly management accounts
- Monitor, communicate and report financial performance for Technology and Product functional areas both monthly and quarterly to key partners and budget holders, providing commercial challenge
- Work with Group Financial Controls in reviewing month-end closing position and providing commercial input
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts across Technology and Product functional areas
- Support the calculation, governance and reporting of Internal Development Expenditure (DevEx) in partnership with Group Finance
- Refine ways of working with the FP&A function, working to agreed deadlines and helping to develop the divisional approach to forecasting
- Undertake ad hoc commercial project work, collaborating closely with relevant partners and communicating findings to senior management
- Lead and develop direct reports, whilst providing support and guidance across the wider finance team
- Continuously challenge and develop the wider Technology & Product finance capability to drive continual improvement in reporting and financial visibility
What Skills You'll Need
- Qualified accountant with varied experience within fast-paced, digital, customer-focused businesses
- Highly numerate with strong financial and analytical skills
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management and business partnering within matrixed environments
- Proven experience in forecasting, budgeting and financial planning
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to communicate financial performance in a clear, compelling manner
- Experience building and maintaining positive relationships with senior partners
- Passionate about developing yourself and others to support career progression
- Proactive mindset—looks for better ways of doing things and takes ownership to see initiatives through
- Flexible and open to change, able to thrive in a fast-moving and rapidly growing business
- Ideally, experience of operating within both divisional and brand finance environments
