Position Summary
The Manager, Operations Finance - Construction will support the Director of Finance - Market Operations and partner closely with Operations leadership to drive financial visibility, cost performance, and operational efficiency across Construction activities. This role will be responsible for analyzing construction cost performance, monitoring timelines, evaluating scope cost variances versus actual results, and identifying opportunities for cost improvement.
In addition, this role will support labor forecasting for the Construction team, track and report on key performance indicators, and provide actionable insights into business performance. A key focus of the position will be automating reporting and improving analytical processes to deliver faster, more effective decision support.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Director of Finance - Market Operations and Operations leadership to analyze Construction financial and operational performance.
Monitor and evaluate construction costs, timelines, and productivity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Analyze scope cost estimates versus actual costs and explain key variances.
Develop actionable insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and operational execution.
Support labor forecasting and workforce planning for the Construction organization.
Create, maintain, and enhance KPI dashboards and performance reporting for leadership.
Automate recurring reports and improve reporting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Build financial models to support decision-making, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Construction, Operations, and other business partners to improve data-driven decision-making.
Prepare presentations and reporting materials for leadership using clear, concise financial and operational insights.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance analytical tools and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in finance, operations finance, FP&A, or related analytical roles.
Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Experience analyzing operational or construction-related costs preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with process automation and reporting improvement.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence business partners at multiple levels of the organization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear business insights.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Construction, Field Operations, or Market Operations teams.
Familiarity with KPI development and performance management reporting.
Experience with business intelligence or automation tools is a plus.
