The Opportunity  

This position works out of our Wiesbaden location - Abbott GmbH for Abbott's Diabetes Care business. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.     

Your Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all aspects of the Order-To-Cash process of ADC Germany webshop, ensure all orders are processed and invoiced timely

  • Drive improvements to the cash collection process, to increase visibility, speed, and accuracy of collection

  • Act as a enabler for ADC Germany´s finance organization between technical reimbursement and cash collection process

  • Own the reconciliation process between internal general ledger and external sub-ledger

  • Escalate timely challenges to Senior Management

  • Ensure appropriate booking of bad debt reserve and sales allowances in anticipation of the cash collection risks incl. root cause analysis and derivation of improvement scenarios

  • Prepare the quarterly/annual Balance Sheet forecast with a high level of forecast accuracy through anticipation of challenges.

  • Balance Sheet reporting: ensure a clear and concise monthly reporting of actual vs benchmark

  • Act as financial business partner in meetings with Statutory Health Institutions

  • Drive the financial troubleshooting within daily operations

  • Provide ad-hoc business and project support related to all order-to-cash relevant topics

  • Review and approve all rebates agreements and actual disbursements

  • Coordinate internal & external audits and SOX requests

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance consulting or business controlling

  • Knowledge of financial and accounting processes within a large corporation, multinational environment and heterogenous in- and external stakeholders

  • Experience in set up and steering of meetings with involved parties with hands on focus to ‘get the job done’

  • Flexibility on changing initial solution approach path in order to solve a problem (to think out of the box) and develop new processes and solutions

  • Capabilities to challenge data sets provided internally and by vendors and their implications on ADC Germany´s financial development

  • Make use of analytical skills to question the status quo and derive sound decision proposals

  • Experience and confidence to communicate and present to senior management as well as to vendors involved in the reimbursement and cash collection process

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Leadership & analytical skills

  • Self-Starter with problem solving skills and ability to meet deadlines by managing in- and external data sources incl. vendor management
