Your new role

Reporting into Group Finance, this role is responsible for leading group‑level financial control and consolidation activities, working closely with divisional finance teams to deliver accurate statutory and management reporting. You will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in reporting, controls and processes while leading and developing a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of accurate, timely monthly and quarterly Group financial reporting, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met

  • Partnering with divisional finance teams to understand results, resolve reporting issues and communicate impacts on Group performance

  • Acting as a key point of contact for Group Financial Control across assigned divisions, providing insight, analysis and support

  • Driving strong financial controls, identifying risks, and maintaining robust internal control documentation and compliance

  • Identifying and implementing process and system improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and scalability of reporting

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of finance professionals to deliver high performance and capability uplift

About you

You are a seasoned finance leader with strong technical expertise and a collaborative, delivery‑focused mindset. You thrive in complex environments, bring clarity to financial outcomes, and are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders while leading and developing teams.

Key requirements:

  • Significant senior‑level experience in financial reporting and financial control within insurance or financial services

  • Strong technical expertise in consolidation and general insurance accounting, including AASB 17

  • Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing finance teams

  • CA or CPA qualification with extensive post‑qualification experience

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and translate financial results into clear insights

  • Strong risk, control and governance mindset, with experience meeting regulatory and reporting obligations
