Finance Manager – Group Financial Control

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join the Group Financial Control team in a full-time, permanent role based in Barangaroo.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, Group Services, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality financial accounting and reporting outcomes for entities within the Group Services business unit. The position also includes exposure to management reporting and provides the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

This is a technically focused role, ideal for a finance professional who enjoys operating in a complex, fast-paced environment and partnering with both onshore and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of monthly, quarterly, and period end financial reporting, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 statutory accounts, regulatory compliance reporting, and Board deliverables.

  • Working with offshore service providers to ensure high‑quality, efficient execution of core accounting, close, and reporting activities.

  • Maintain general ledger integrity by delivering high‑quality balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and controls.

  • Analyse financial results, identify key drivers and variances, and provide insights to support supporting the Senior Finance Manager Group Services in undertaking scenario and sensitivity analysis.

  • Collaborate closely with Group Finance and regional finance stakeholders across Lendlease to ensure alignment of reporting, controls, and financial outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, controls, and systems, providing subject matter expertise and contributing to increased efficiency and reporting quality.

  • Lead engagement with external auditors, proactively managing audit deliverables and timelines.

About You:

  • CA/CPA qualifications, or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience in financial and management reporting.

  • Strong excel and system skills. Experience in Oracle preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving capability, eye for detail, as well as having strong organisational skills and the ability to reliably deliver quality outcomes in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to develop strong working rapport with a variety of stakeholders.

  • A confident and motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives and display a high level of initiative.
