We are currently searching for a Site Finance Manager to join our Thermal, Electronic & Defense Systems (TEDS) team within Mission Critical Products, an SSBU in the Mission Systems Strategic Business Unit.  In this individual contributor role you will be responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of the Durham, New Hampshire site.  You will work closely with site IPT and managers to understand the business, the associated financial forecast assumptions, and implications to site level costs and rates.  You are responsible for understanding and approving quarterly financial reporting and will provide support to executive leadership for the presentation of financial information regarding the state of the business.  And will be responsible for reconciling, understanding, and confirming our financial data to support the monthly financial closing process and will utilize Hyperion Planning and Epicor heavily for analysis and reporting.

What You Will Do

  • Ensures adherence to company financial policies and procedures

  • Ensures all required financial functions are performed effectively

  • Coordinates Month End closing and supervises monthly closing activities including preparation and approval of journal entries

  • Reviews of financial month end closing financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy

  • Responsible for the review and approval of general ledger account reconciliations

  • Facilitates timely and accurate preparation of site tax submissions

  • Identifies internal control deficiencies, analyzes root causes, implements corrective actions, and audits to ensure remediation effectiveness

  • Assists in the development and installation of accounting systems, procedures and controls

  • Ensures the maintenance and monitoring of internal control compliance, including system access reviews

  • Facilitates support of internal and external financial audits and SOX compliance.  Gathers supporting documentation and reports and assists in clearing up questions/issues.

  • Interfaces with Corporate SOX department to ensure all items are properly covered by site

  • Prepares lead sheets and PBC schedules for audits

  • Prepares year-end tax package and supporting details for annual tax filings for site

  • Responsible for developing and implementing accounting systems, procedures, and controls at the site level

  • HFM: responsible for accurate and timely submission of monthly trial balance and other data requirements

  • Interface directly with corporate fixed assets department, CER requestor

  • Fixed asset budgeting, review CERs for accuracy, and CER approvals

  • Facilitates the annual fixed asset audit

  • Ad hoc financial reporting

  • Travel up to 10%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

  • Previous experience in Finance/Accounting

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Epicor or similar ERP experience

  • FP&A experience

  • Aerospace experience

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
