Role Description:
As the FP&A Manager at Amgen India, you will lead the end-to-end financial planning and analysis for the India site, serving as a strategic business partner to leadership teams. This role goes beyond budgeting and reporting and requires the ability to generate actionable insights, influence decisions, and drive financial performance.
You will partner with Finance Head, FP&A Lead for India and Broader Finance team of finance professionals responsible for planning, forecasting, and performance management, while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders and global finance teams. The role demands strong analytical rigor, business acumen, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights that support Amgen India’s growth and operational priorities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
· Own and lead the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes for the Amgen India site
· Drive timely, accurate, and high-quality financial plans in coordination with global and local stakeholders
· Ensure alignment of financial plans with business strategy and operational priorities
· Continuously improve planning processes, tools, and assumptions
2. Business Partnering & Decision Support
· Act as a trusted finance partner to business leaders, providing actionable financial insights
· Support strategic and operational decision-making through scenario analysis and financial modeling
· Challenge assumptions and proactively identify risks and opportunities
· Enable data-driven decision-making across functions and projects
3. Performance Management & Insights
· Lead financial performance tracking, including variance analysis and business metric reporting
· Provide clear, concise, and insight-driven commentary on financial results
· Identify key drivers of performance and recommend corrective actions where needed
· Track and monitor savings / value realization initiatives and operational efficiency programs
4. Financial Reporting & Close Support
· Own FP&A aspects of the close process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of expenses
· Partner with accounting teams to ensure alignment between financial reporting and planning
· Ensure adherence to financial calendars and reporting timelines
5. Stakeholder & Global Collaboration
· Collaborate with global FP&A teams, Centers of Excellence, and cross-functional stakeholders
· Ensure high service levels and stakeholder satisfaction for FP&A deliverables
· Align local processes with global standards and best practices
6. FP&A Transformation & Projects
· Lead and support finance transformation initiatives (e.g., automation, digital tools, process improvements)
· Drive adoption of advanced planning tools (Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP, etc.)
· Enhance reporting capabilities using data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
8. Governance & Compliance
· Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, policies, and compliance requirements
· Maintain alignment with regulatory standards and corporate governance frameworks

Educational Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
· Doctorate degree and 5+ years of Finance experience; OR
· Master's degree and 10+ years of Finance experience; OR
· Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of Finance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
· Advanced degree
· Certified public accountant or experience working in accounting
· Managerial and financial experience in a pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology manufacturing environment
· Experience supporting senior leaders of an organization as an FP&A business partner or in some other advisory capacity
· Managerial experience to include hiring and staff performance management
Experience in preparing executive communication to include written and oral presentations
