The Position

Reporting to the Deployment Finance Chapter Lead, the Finance - M&A Integration Manager is a senior leader who drives the end-to-end financial integration of acquired entities into the Roche ERP ecosystem. This role serves as the primary Finance representative within the Pharma Integration Office, collaborating with cross-functional partners to assess targets and advise on integration strategies. Beyond execution, the manager is responsible for developing a standardized, scalable integration playbook and exercising high-level judgment to navigate complex restructurings while ensuring compliance and business continuity.

The Opportunity

  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as the primary Finance lead within the Pharma Integration Office, partnering with Legal, Procurement, and P&C to advise on target assessments and integration strategies.

  • Due Diligence: Conduct rapid "as-is" assessments of target companies' financial systems, processes, and organizational structures to identify gaps against Roche global standards.

  • Integration Planning: Develop comprehensive integration scenarios, including detailed timelines, budget estimates, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Operational Execution: Lead the end-to-end migration of acquired entities into the Roche ERP ecosystem (ASPIRE) while aligning with Global Standard Finance Processes.

  • Project Management: Own the full integration project lifecycle, from managing critical path activities and site readiness (data cleansing/testing) to ensuring successful "Hypercare" transitions.

  • Methodology Ownership: Develop and continuously improve a standardized Finance M&A playbook to ensure a scalable and repeatable methodology for all future integrations.

  • Organizational Leadership: Navigate complex staffing decisions and restructurings, ensuring that workforce transitions are compliant, transparent, and aligned with Roche values.

  • Stakeholder Management: Provide executive-level counsel to senior leadership and act as the key counterpart to acquired finance teams to foster stability and trust during transformation.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who is self motivated, really passionate about his or her job and understands that providing a high-quality service is crucial for the organization. As an ideal team member you are open-minded, dedicated to make a difference and open to constant development. Furthermore, you have:

  • Senior Finance Leadership: Master’s degree in Finance or Business with 7–10 years of experience in senior roles (e.g., Finance Director), demonstrating accountability for complex decision-making in high-stakes environments.

  • M&A & Systems Expertise: Proven track record in M&A due diligence and post-merger integration, underpinned by deep knowledge of ERP environments (specifically SAP) and global finance processes.

  • Strategic Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional consensus without direct authority, ensuring alignment between external partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Change & People Leadership: Skilled in leading large-scale transformations and restructurings, using high emotional intelligence to guide newly acquired teams through sensitive organizational changes.

  • Analytical Execution & Resilience: A proactive, self-directed leader who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, moving seamlessly between strategic planning and the detailed execution of process improvements.

In exchange we provide you with

  • Development opportunities: Roche is rich in learning resources. We provide constant development opportunities, free language courses & training, the possibility of international assignments, internal position changes and the chance to shape your own career.

  • Excellent benefits: Competitive salary and cafeteria package, annual bonus, Private Medical Services, Employee Assistance Program, All You Can Move Sportpass, coaching / mentoring opportunity, buddy program, team buildings, holiday party.
