Pay Details:
The starting hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Intern to join our Finance team. This role offers hands-on experience supporting budgeting, accounting, and financial analysis for the Anaheim Ducks and affiliated entities, while providing exposure to sports, venues, and shared services finance and business operations.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and maintaining departmental budgets and forecasts
Support actual vs. budget and year-over-year variance analysis across revenue streams and operating expenses
Collaborate with departmental operators to understand revenue and expense drivers
Contribute to financial models and ad hoc analysis for management
Analyze spending trends and operational KPIs
Help prepare financial reporting and presentation materials for internal stakeholders
Assist with month-end close processes such as journal entries and account reconciliations
Support expense tracking, coding, processing, and audit compliance
Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Participate in event-day finance support activities as needed
Assist with cross-functional projects across sports and venues finance teams as assigned
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or already obtained an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Interest in sports business, live entertainment, or events
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent time management and organization skills
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
