Your New Role!  

The Finance Functional System Analyst provides first-line system support to the Finance Office and University for all Finance Office (FO) applications. The role delivers expert advice and troubleshooting through strong knowledge of Workday Finance and supports the Finance Functional Lead in ensuring reliable and sustainable finance services through effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of FO applications. The role also builds and maintains Finance Office capability through documentation (e.g. Quick Reference Guides, Policies and Procedures) and training.

Your key responsibilities will include –

  • Lead the optimisation of Finance Office systems: Contribute to strategy and roadmap delivery, oversee enhancements, integrations, reporting, master data, controls, and continuous improvement of Workday and FO applications
  • Enable effective finance processes and capability: Partner with Finance SMEs to document and maintain processes, policies, procedures, and integrations; manage system changes and upgrades; and deliver training and knowledge sharing
  • Provide trusted functional partnership and support: Act as the primary Finance systems partner and first point of contact, supporting cyclical finance activities, end-users, stakeholders, and complex issues resolution across the University

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $114,385.00 – $137,976.00 (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or IT (or a more general degree with a major in one of these disciplines) with experience in complex finance environment
  • Strong experience with Workday or similar ERP systems, including controls and integrations
  • Proven ability to analyse data, resolve data quality issues, and deliver reporting insights
  • Experience providing end-user support and delivering effective systems training
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills across diverse stakeholders
