As an FP&A Finance Experienced Professional, you will support financial planning, analysis and execution activities across SP&S LATAM. Working closely with the LATAM Finance Manager and regional stakeholders, you will provide insight into operational and commercial performance while supporting close cycles, audits, bids, and planning processes. This role requires strong analytical capability, ownership mindset, and the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
As an FP&A Finance Experienced Professional, you will be responsible for:
Financial Analysis & Performance Support
- Partnering with the SP&S LATAM Finance Manager to provide detailed financial analysis, execution support and visibility across operational and commercial performance topics.
- Performing detailed analysis of OVC and COQ to identify outliers, anomalies and cost trends, summarizing findings to support management reviews and decision‑making.
- Supporting operational and process improvement initiatives by quantifying financial impacts, tracking execution results and delivering analytical insights to leadership.
Close, Ledger & Reporting Activities
- Supporting ledger reviews and reconciliations in coordination with Finance Leaders and Regional teams, ensuring accuracy and escalating challenges as needed.
- Providing ongoing ledger visibility for Mexico and Colombia, including preparation of P&L and balance movement summaries for monthly and quarterly close.
- Leading monthly and quarterly close activities for Mexico and Brazil, preparing variance analysis, execution commentary and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
- Supporting internal and external audit requests through data preparation, documentation and variance explanations.
Planning, Forecasting & Decision Support
- Contributing analytical support to financial planning and review cycles such as Annual Plan (AP), MRP, Operating Plans and Long‑Range Planning (LRP).
- Preparing inputs focused on operational drivers, cost performance and execution assumptions.
- Preparing financial materials, analysis and ad‑hoc requests to support HQ, Area Leaders and Regional Finance teams, ensuring alignment with leadership guidance.
Commercial & Bid Support
- Supporting bid elaboration for LATAM projects outside Brazil, primarily Mexico, working cross‑functionally to ensure robust cost estimates and budgets are developed.
Collaboration & Finance Governance
- Maintaining close alignment with the FP&A Manager, escalating risks, issues and emerging trends, and supporting consistent messaging and financial interpretation across stakeholders.
- Actively participating in and promoting Baker Hughes behaviors, values and wellbeing initiatives.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience within a Finance function, preferably in FP&A or Controllership.
- Have fluency in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
