Job Overview

IQVIA is seeking a Finance Director – Brand Outsourcing (m/f/d), across Europe, remote to provide financial leadership and business partnering support to the Brand Outsourcing portfolio. The role is responsible for ensuring strong financial governance across Brand Outsourcing projects, with particular focus on forecasting accuracy, scenario planning, spend control, and proactive financial risk management.

Working closely with Brand Outsourcing leadership, operations, and project teams, the role supports end to end project financial management, enabling informed decision making and ensuring projects are delivered profitably, within budget, and in line with forecast.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Business Partnering

  • Act as the primary finance business partner to Brand Outsourcing leadership and project owners.

  • Provide financial insight, challenge, and guidance to support commercial and operational decisions.

  • Partner closely with Operations, Business Development, Contracts, and Compliance to ensure financially robust Brand Outsourcing delivery models.

  • Support governance forums and leadership discussions with clear financial reporting and insight.

Forecasting, Scenario Planning & Risk

  • Lead project level and portfolio level forecasting for Brand Outsourcing engagements.

  • Develop and maintain scenario planning models to assess the financial impact of:

    • Changes in scope or client demand

    • Recruitment and resourcing assumptions

    • Market or delivery risks

  • Identify, quantify, and monitor financial risks and opportunities, escalating issues early with recommended mitigation actions.

  • Ensure ongoing alignment between operational plans and financial forecasts.

Spend Control & Financial Performance

  • Maintain close oversight of actual spend versus budget and forecast across all Brand Outsourcing projects.

  • Support project managers in managing costs, protecting margins, and delivering against financial targets.

  • Drive corrective actions where spend or forecast performance deviates from plan.

  • Ensure financial discipline is embedded throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Financial Management

  • Provide financial support across the full Brand Outsourcing project lifecycle:

    • Financial modelling and proposal development

    • Project start‑up and forecast set‑up

    • Ongoing delivery tracking

    • Project close‑out, reconciliation, and final billing

  • Ensure financial processes support transparency, auditability, and client confidence.

Cross Functional Finance Collaboration

  • Work closely with Billing, Cash Collections, DSO Management, Budgeting, and Business Analysis teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data.

  • Support internal and client‑facing financial reporting requirements related to Brand Outsourcing projects.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, tools, and reporting for Brand Outsourcing.

Team Leadership (where applicable)

  • Lead and develop finance resources supporting Brand Outsourcing (Director level).

  • Ensure strong capability in forecasting, scenario planning, and project financial management within the team.

  • Promote best practices and consistency across Brand Outsourcing finance support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.

  • Typically 12–15+ years’ experience in Finance, including commercial finance and project financial management.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex, resource-intensive delivery models, ideally within outsourcing or professional services environments.

  • Strong expertise in forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management.

  • Proven expertise in forecasting, scenario planning, and financial modelling.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on profitability, margin protection, and financial delivery.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence working with senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, changing environment.

  • Proficient in MS Office and financial management systems.
