We’re looking for a Finance Controller who thrives in a dynamic environment where analysis, compliance, and collaboration go hand in hand. In this role, you will play a key part in safeguarding financial integrity while supporting local and regional operations.

Who we are:
GBS Finance is a global finance organization consisting of 250 employees delivering finance and advisory services across 50 countries to more than 110 legal entities in the Wilhelmsen group.
Our ambition is to provide high quality and efficient transactional and value-adding services to our customers. Services are delivered via local teams, finance shared services centers and centralized resources. We have strong competence and experience in managing complex global finance processes and applications. Currently we are investing in new technologies and digital tools including RPA and process mining to further improve our service delivery and efficiency.

About the role:
As a Finance Controller, you will report to the Hub Manager Mediterranean and work closely with local management, Service Owners, and global stakeholders. You will act as a Finance Business Partner, supporting financial performance, ensuring compliance, and contributing to both local and global initiatives.

Your key responsibilities:
•    Analyze financial performance and support budgeting and target-setting processes.
•    Ensure financial reporting is accurate, reliable, and delivered on time.
•    Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and ensure data accuracy across systems.
•    Act as Finance Business Partner, supporting local management and stakeholders.
•    Serve as a point of contact for Service Owners regarding financial data and analysis.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
•    Support audits, reporting processes, and infrastructure maintenance.
•    Contribute to local and global projects and initiatives.
•    Provide backup and support to the Hub Manager and accounting functions.

Who you are:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA are a plus).
•    5+ years of relevant experience in financial management, analysis, and budgeting.
•    Experience working with multiple countries in South Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece) is highly preferred.
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and improve processes.
•    Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for financial analysis and reporting.
•    Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
•    Fluent in English; additional languages such as Italian or Greek are a plus.
