As a Business Support Associate within the Finance team, you will be responsible for supporting some of the day-to-day functions of Finance as follows: 

  • Principal person responsible for the review and approval of employee expense claims in line with the Kainos Expenses Policy. The role requires frequent interaction with all levels of Kainos employees and strong interpersonal skills are essential 
  • Supporting the accounts payable team in handling separate entities and vendors and resolving supplier queries 
  • Assisting with processing due invoices for payments 
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges 
  • Bank account reconciliation 
  • Assisting in processing customer invoice payments and assisting in other credit control duties 
  • Helping the team posting customer payments to accounts 
  • Supporting the Finance Team with other tasks when necessary

     

This role will be accountable for delivering high quality work in a timely fashion in line with company policies and process guidelines with limited supervision.   

You will be working as part of a team to effectively deliver support for the core business. 

Minimum (essential) requirements:  

  • Ability to challenge and resolve conflicts of interest with senior stakeholders. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes. 
  • Effective personal time management and planning skills to deliver in tight timeframes/targets. 
  • Ability to work efficiently, make sensible decisions under pressure and prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders 
  • We all work in teams here in Kainos – a proven ability of strong team skills, including taking direction from others, is crucial. 
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a relevant working environment with an approachable, mature, collaborative style. 
  • Experience with Office 365 Suite or equivalent. 
  • Finance or accounting background will be a plus.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined team. 
  • Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement within the team and business. 
  • Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint or Workday
