Our Commercial Operations team is a vital part of finance operations.  The Financial Planning and Analysis team takes care of all aspects of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis for business unites, sales information and Group and board reports.
 
Te Tūranga – About the role
As the Finance Business Partner looking after IT, you’ll be a senior member of the Commercial Operations team partnering with the Chief Digital Officer and the wider IT team to deliver insightful analysis on investment opportunities and prioritisation of resources alongside managing Opex and Capex constraints.
 
Some of what you’ll be responsible for include:
·       Providing proactive commercial support and work closely with the CDO, CFO, and wider team to help develop and deliver insightful commercially astute advice and reporting.
·       Work closely with the Enterprise Portfolio Management team to prioritise the IT Investment initiative for the Annual Planning Process, ensuring aligns with resource allocation.
·       Leading the annual financial planning, budgeting & forecasting process for the IT team.
·       Providing financial leadership and commercial evaluation support for investment decisions including the development of business cases.
·       Leading the long-term financial planning process to help create a digital & IT investment strategy plan.
·       Managing reporting and analysis of key IT performance metrics and managing spend within budget and surfacing results to key stakeholders.
·       Running the month end process and ensuring rigorous controls and reconciliations are in place to deliver accurate and timely performance reporting, ensuring high data integrity and spend is within budget.
·       Constant monitoring to ensure financial hygiene of month end, annual reforecasting, annual budgeting and long-term planning processes.

You’ll have proven senior level Finance Business Partnering experience within complex environments with a solid Management Accounting foundation and experience in financial reporting, forecasting, business information systems and project governance.
 
You’ll also have:
·       Proven capability in best-in-class business partnering – including coaching team members to develop more commerciality in their decision making, influencing decision makers and business outcomes.
·       Excellent commercial, analytical, planning and communication skills with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and effectively present information.
·       Excellent commercial and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail to establish and maintain credibility of information.
·       Practical commercial understanding, and a talent for simplifying complex business problems to effectively communicate to non-finance stakeholders.
·       A flair for establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to maintain a great working environment ensuring all shared deliverables are met.
·       Advanced system skills particularly in SAP project modules, IBM planning analytics - COGNOS TM1, and JIRA.
·       The ability and curiosity to ask question to get all the right details, influence and challenge senior leaders.
·       CA or CPA qualifications preferred.
