In order to support Finance A400 in Manching, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a


Finance Business Partner (d/f/m)

The scope of responsibility includes finance controlling and pricing activities related to A400M Development and Launch contracts. Occasionally, you will also support A400M In-Service activities in Manching.

As an A400M Program Controller, you will be a vital part in the Finance community with different links to project and program organizations. As a challenging Financial Business Partner, you will be responsible for managing the profit & loss of your Operational Business Partners. You will gather and provide data to enable educated decision making on management level and give visibility about performance versus targets.

To do so, you will collaborate and challenge your business partners from all directorates (i.e. Project Organization, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Sales and other Finance departments). Moreover, you will support key change decisions with your Operational Business Partner (business cases adaptations, pricing proposals, contract modifications etc.), contribute to reduce the risks and optimize the costs and look for long-term company profitability and competitiveness.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Drive and coordinate finance planning processes like OP, FC, EAC providing a consistent baseline for target-setting
  • Contribute to bids and contracts execution with finance expertise

  • Contribute to bid/no-bid decisions, win strategy and pricing process.

  • Perform reconciliation of intercompany activities and figures for the programs that are performed in more than 1 legal entity

  • Challenge and support the business in terms of financial performance improvement

  • Prepare financial reports/presentations and present them to high level management.

  • Ensure data consistency in major IT tools (SAP, SimpliFi, etc.) and provide transparency and accuracy of actuals and planning data from and to all stakeholders

  • Support/drive continuous improvement in Finance processes and systems

  • Be the guardian of financial principles and compliance

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Team player developing strong links of trust with the different stakeholder (i.e. Programs, CoCs and other Finance Functions)

  • Understanding of accounting principles and relation/interdependency between different KPIs

  • Good analytical skills to give meaning to complex facts and figures

  • Being able to present synthetic outputs and key messages to management

  • Autonomy, enthusiasm and continuous improvement spirit

  • Working closely with your operational Business Partner

  • A high level of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict management skills, persistence and assertiveness are required to master this business partnering role.

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in mathematics, sciences, finance or business

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Good communication skills

  • Demonstration of a strong work ethic and team spirit is essential

  • Languages: English mandatory, German / Spanish are a plus
