Why we're hiring:

Spafax is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Finance Business Analyst, on a 6 month FTC basis,  to significantly enhance our financial planning capabilities and commercial insight generation.

This pivotal role will be instrumental in strengthening organisational-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. You will collaborate closely with senior finance leadership, designing robust financial models, conducting in-depth business performance analysis, and providing crucial support for strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing: 

As our Finance Business Analyst, you'll be instrumental in shaping our financial future, from strategic planning to real-time insights. Your role will involve:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Driving the annual budgeting cycle across multiple business units.
  • Shaping long-range financial plans and strategic models.
  • Developing impactful scenario analyses for commercial strategy.
  • Deep-diving into financial performance to pinpoint key variance drivers.

Financial Modelling & Insight Generation:

  • Constructing and maintaining sophisticated financial models for strategic initiatives.
  • Transforming complex datasets from various sources into clear, actionable commercial insights.
  • Providing critical financial analysis for investment, pricing, and growth opportunities.
  • Spotting emerging trends, risks, and opportunities within financial and operational data.

Strategic Business Partnering:

  • Partnering closely with finance leadership and commercial teams on all planning and analysis.
  • Translating financial complexities into understandable insights for stakeholders.
  • Evolving and implementing better reporting and analytical tools.

Process & Analytical Improvement:

  • Identifying and implementing enhancements to financial planning processes and reporting.
  • Strengthening our organization's analytical prowess and data-driven culture.
  • Optimizing reporting structures to deliver richer financial insights.

What you'll will need: 

We are seeking an analytically-minded professional with a proactive approach and a strong desire to contribute strategically.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or commercial finance roles.
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex financial modelling, data analysis, and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and building complex financial models and conducting robust scenario planning.
  • Strong data manipulation skills with the ability to handle and interpret large datasets.
  • Extensive experience in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable collaborating effectively across diverse teams and functions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with strong organisational abilities.

Highly Desirable Attributes:

  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience operating within a multi-entity or international business environment.
