JOB SUMMARY
The Temporary Part-time Finance Assistant supports the Finance Department with a focus on Tax and Legal requirements. This position assists with research, documentation, filings, and administrative support related to entity structures, multi-state compliance obligations, and regulatory requirements.
This position is expected to work 15 hours per week with anticipated end date of August 2026, depending on hire date.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Organize, and understand complex financial and compliance-related data.
Analyze and summarize information, regulatory requirements, and supporting documents.
Assist with preparation, submission, and tracking of filings and other administrative tasks.
Support ongoing projects and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to learn and apply new concepts, rules and procedures to unique situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year of administrative support experience preferred.
Experience working for a large corporate environment, or an Alaska Native Corporation preferred.
Ability to pass a background, drug, reference and credit check.
