The Program Manager, Population Health Finance & Performance Analytics provides centralized financial, operational, and contractual analytics across all Population Health entities. This role supports both financial planning functions (budgeting, forecasting, accounting support) and performance analytics functions (claims/eligibility analysis, value-based contract performance, trend reporting), with the ability for individual hires to specialize in one or both domains. As a key member of the Population Health finance analytics team, the Program Manager delivers data-driven insights that enable leadership to make informed decisions that improve financial performance, quality outcomes, and value-based care results.
***This is a remote/work from home position. Hire must be able to live/work in the continental US due to our VPN access, and are required to work eastern time zone hours.
Essential Job Functions
Provide financial planning support including monthly close activities, accounting coordination, annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and related adjustments across Population Health entities.
Analyze claims, eligibility, attribution, CMS/payer files, and contractual data to identify performance trends, risks, opportunities, and financial drivers for value-based care programs (e.g., MSSP, MA, shared savings, bundled payments).
Develop and maintain executive dashboards for leadership and governance, including performance trends, value-based population growth, cost/utilization metrics, and network integrity.
Support financial forecasting, scenario modeling, and contract performance projections in collaboration with Managed Care, Actuarial, Finance, and IT analytics teams.
Conduct routine data validation, reconciliations, internal controls reviews, and audit preparation; partner with Internal Audit and third parties as needed.
Translate actuarial, contract, and management guidance into financial insights that support program decision-making and operational strategies.
Partner with internal data teams to align financial reporting with KPI tracking, performance management processes, and contractual compliance requirements.
Provide financial, utilization, and claims analytics to support performance improvement initiatives, vendor reviews, and strategic decision-making.
Ensure adherence to HIPAA, PHI protection, data governance standards, and secure data handling practices.
Prepare high-quality reporting and presentations for boards, committees, and executive leadership, and deliver ad hoc analyses as requested.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or related field (required)
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Health Informatics, or related discipline (preferred)
Licensing/Certification
N/A
Work Experience
3+ years’ experience in healthcare finance, accounting, actuarial/insurance analytics, value-based care analytics, or related fields (required)
3+ years’ experience working with healthcare claims, eligibility, and financial datasets (required)
Knowledge of Medicare Shared Savings Programs (MSSP) and Medicare Advantage shared risk contracts (required)
Proficiency in SQL, Tableau (or other BI tools), Excel, and relational databases (preferred)
Experience working in Milliman MedInsight (preferred)
