Job Description
Title: Finance Analyst

Location: Nicosia-Hybrid

  

Position Summary   

The position is responsible for providing high-quality accounting support to the MEA Shared Service Center. The individual will ensure accurate and timely financial processing, support statutory and compliance requirements, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the region. 

Key Areas of Responsibility   

Analyze and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts for Cyprus entities monthly in alignment with MEA Shared Services processes. 
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of open items. 
Support compliance with statutory financial requirements, including preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions and coordinating with external advisors. 
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring adherence to MEA timelines and reporting standards. 
Review, analyze, and reconcile accounts payable transactions processed through shared services; ensure accuracy of postings and timely followup. 
Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, providing supporting documents, and coordinating responses.  
Collaborate with MEA Shared Service Center teams to implement process improvements and contribute to standardization initiatives. 

Basic Qualifications  

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 
Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) will be preferred. 
Minimum 3 years of experience 
Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required. 
Proven handson experience in accounting operations, preferably within a regional or shared services environment. 
Experience supporting statutory audits, tax filings, or local compliance activities in Cyprus is an advantage. 
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred (Oracle, SAP or equivalent). 
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a multicountry, crossfunctional environment.
