Finance Analyst III – Costa Rica

What you will be doing

·         Under the direction of the Corporate Functions Finance leadership team and senior FP&A colleagues, this role supports end‑to‑end FP&A activities, with a strong focus on consolidation, reporting, and financial performance management across Corporate Functions. The Analyst partners closely with finance and business stakeholders to support planning, forecasting, monthly close, and management reporting, ensuring data integrity, transparency, and actionable insights across the full FP&A lifecycle.

This role requires strong technical expertise in financial systems, advanced Excel modeling, and data visualization, as well as an understanding of interdependencies across planning, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Owns components of the monthly forecast, estimate, and consolidation processes for Corporate Functions, ensuring timely delivery and alignment across inputs and outputs.
  • Prepares and reviews consolidated financial results, identifying trends, risks, and key drivers prior to leadership review. Leads variance analysis of actual versus plan, forecast, and prior periods; synthesizes insights into clear, executive‑ready narratives.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and accountability, consistently going above and beyond core responsibilities to ensure high‑quality FP&A outputs and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Maintains and enhances FP&A models, consolidation templates, and reporting artifacts supporting planning, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Plays a key role in the annual operating plan, outlook, and long‑range planning processes by preparing consolidated schedules, assumptions, and supporting analyses.
  • Produces recurring management reporting and complex ad hoc analyses, adapting deliverables as business priorities and leadership needs evolve.
  • Partners with finance leadership and business stakeholders explain results, support decisions, and resolve data or reporting issues.
  • Demonstrates a passion for driving FP&A excellence by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and reporting standardization.
  • Acts as a reliable point of escalation for analytical questions related to consolidation results and reporting outputs.
  • Mentors junior analysts and supports knowledge sharing and best‑practice adoption across the FP&A team.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Work experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in similar positions.
  • Experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting.
  • Proven experience with Hyperion Essbase and SmartView
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.
  • 6+ years of experience on leadership roles.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of financial principles and business metrics.
  • Comfortable working with global teams and collaborating across time zones.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work effectively across departments and geographies.
  • Advanced Excel skills: ability to build and maintain complex models.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Experience with financial systems and data tools (e.g., Hyperion, SmartView).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic finance environment.
