Position Purpose: With the Fidelis of NY Accounting team, you will Compile and analyze financial information for the company. Lead various financial projects.

  • Perform financial data analysis (general ledger based) to align with detail data independently extracted from data warehouse, including validation, reconciliation, reasonably resolving the gap. Utilize the data and report to DOH MMCOR application appropriately.
  • Getting familiar and fluent with DOH MMCOR reporting guideline sand instruction on assigned (and different) Line of Business (Medicaid, CHP, HARP, MLTC, HBX, EPP, etc.) including revenue by funds type, medical cost by service category, and administration by expense classification. Expect Line of Business rotation periodically (every 3-5 years).
  • Instruct and guide MMCOR IT staff to maintain and improve automated data captures of preliminary MMCOR tables data. Create Jira and furnish detail configuration via English writing, team message/email , screen shot visuals. Conduct meeting to explain and resolve issues to ensure thorough completion of table creation, enhancement, correction.
  • Collaborate with Encounter team to reconcile difference between MMCOR reporting vs actual claims submission to DOH. This includes providing Supplement E schedule, Non-system Claim survey, etc. based on pre-established process, procedure, and reports.
  • Resolve DOH review questions on MMCOR reporting based on pre-established process, procedure, and reports. Provide process correction or streamlined process enhancement incorporating DOH review beforehand.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle team, Actuary, Corporate Finance, Provider Reimbursement for detail review of material items on MMCOR reporting to ensure accuracy, and knowledge level set.
  • Assistant with Finance Director for ah-hoc based review, paper work reconfiguration, data extraction, or data validation, researching DOH ad-hoc questions.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 4+ years of financial or data analysis experience. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills:

Advanced and comfortable at handling large data extract/links with pre-established tables in MS Excel file. Intermediate Excel formula skills (vlookup, sumifs, index match, pivot table).

Comfortable operating/utilizing Excel simultaneously multiple tabs manipulation (one calculation performed on multiple tabs of data with same patterns).

Intermediate knowledge of financial data (general ledger) on income statement items (revenue, expense, administration).

Fast learning on general basic concept of different claim data (medial, pharmacy, dental, vision).

Pay Range: $68,700.00 - $123,700.00 per year
