Role Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated Finance professional to join our Site Finance Team. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Business Partner, supporting the Heads of Manufacturing, Operations Managers and Functional Heads with Site Overheads (ZBB costs) to drive operational efficiency, support delivery of site KPIs whilst ensuring we meet financial targets and compliance commitments.

You will help develop financial understanding at site, by delivering actionable financial insight and analysis to support management and control of circa £50m of ZBB costs per annum. Along with day-to-day cost management, the role includes raw/packaging material product costing, stock provisions and critical compliance deliverables.

The right candidate will have worked in Finance for several years and will be looking to develop their skills and experience in a large, blue-chip, FMCG business. They will have demonstrated their ability to understand business issues and apply their knowledge in a way which translates financial data into meaningful reporting used to improve decision making and drive business performance. Rather than operating on gut feel, the Kraft Heinz Management System encourages us to make informed choices using facts and data.

Along with monthly reporting routines, the Finance Analyst will support the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual planning cycle for their area of responsibility. The successful candidate will also work with the Manufacturing Finance Lead and Finance Analyst, responsible for variable costs, along with supporting process improvement projects and helping ensure our compliance commitments are completed in a timely manner. This role sits at the heart of the business and would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Business Partnering

• Develop a strong understanding of the ZBB Costs of the site, supporting the Finance Business Partner with detailed analysis to provide guidance to the Operations Team and Functional Leads of the site.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by supporting functional colleagues with the justification and delivery of 90 Day Improvement Plans, Savings Initiatives and Capex Projects.

Product Costing & Inventory

• Manage site process to cost raw and packaging materials used to manufacture at Kitt Green.

• Act as gatekeeper for changes to material master data and master recipes.

• Coordinate product status reviews in preparation for AOP. • Review and update Supply Chain Loss Provisions, including processing stock disposal requests and recharges.

Cost Accounting & Monthly Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review site ZBB costs for area of responsibility.

• Review actual postings, post corrections and provisions to meet month end close deadlines.

• Manage internal recharge of costs and consumables.

• Conduct ad-hoc analysis of ZBB variances to Latest Estimate and AOP by package. Provide commentary on drivers.

• Complete monthly cost centre reviews with operational and functional leads.

• Share learnings on indirect procurement process, material issues and internal cross charges with ARIBA & SAP end users.

• Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly review meetings with Operations and Support Functions.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support ZBB forecast and AOP within monthly and annual cycles.

• Collate Fixed elements of AOP Standard Setting process, including interchangeables and relevant SKF.

• Proactively identify risks and opportunities to the financial outlook.

Financial Compliance

• Establish and implement appropriate internal control processes to align with KHC policies.

• Drive compliance with corporate financial policies and regulatory requirements across all functions.

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closure procedures and reporting in accordance with corporate policies and applicable accounting standards. • Support Annual Stock Take process.

• Monitor MRO Perpetual Inventory tracking and support timely resolution of audit queries.

• Support quarterly Fixed Asset verification and timely resolution of audit queries.

• Document and maintain site finance processes, including process maps and standard operating procedures.

• Collaborate with Central EPDM Finance and other UK factory teams to align on policies and best practice.

Expected Experience and Required Skills:

• Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with a university degree (2:1 or above in any discipline) or 3+ A Levels (Grade C or above), ideally with some exposure to business, economics, or mathematics.

• Bright and enthusiastic individual, looking to develop a career in Finance.

• Comfortable working with numbers and analysing data to spot trends or issues.

• Competent Excel user, with interest in learning more about finance systems and tools.

• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to ask questions and share ideas with colleagues.

• Curious and eager to understand how things work.

• Adaptable and comfortable with change or new challenges, adapt quickly to new tasks.

• Demonstrates integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.

• Resilient when facing setbacks or unfamiliar tasks.

• Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others to solve problems.

• Essential: Proactive, willing to take initiative and seek out learning opportunities.

• Essential: Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Essential: Attention to detail—able to check work carefully and follow processes.

• Desirable: Interested in manufacturing, with a curiosity to understand how this relates to the finances of the business. Training in the Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) will be provided to support your development in this area.
