Location: Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA. This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. A Finance - AI Intern will be responsible for supporting our Finance - AI team by identifying and implementing new solutions in automation and AI within our broader Finance organization. During this summer internship, the intern will have the opportunity to interact with business leaders in developing projects and strategic initiatives to further fluency with and access to AI within the finance organization.
This position is a full-time, 10-week internship (May 18th, 2026 – July 24th, 2026) program in alignment with our Enterprise-wide Summer Internship program.
How you will make an impact:
Analyze large-scale and complex data sets from reports to develop strategic recommendations for business improvement
Collaborate with team members to prototype AI solutions for finance professionals
Collect, analyze, and clearly document existing business processes to ensure a thorough understanding of current workflows
Utilize the core financial analytics skill set to develop financial profiles for automation implementation
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external business leaders
Minimum Requirements:
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in either: Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related degree at an accredited university or college
The ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship and work in-office at least once per week.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Access
Working knowledge of Python for data analysis (e.g., pandas, numpy), exposure to SQL for querying structured datasets, and/or the ability to clean, join, and validate messy financial data
Understanding of descriptive statistics, correlation vs. causation, basic regression concepts
Basic familiarity with cloud tools or platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Databricks)
Knowledge of Tableau or related data visualization software
Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An interest in health care and insurance
