They are skilled in project management, technology, and process optimization to deliver high-quality services to clients.

Those in managed service management and strategy at PwC will focus on transitioning and running services, along with managing delivery teams, programmes, commercials, performance and delivery risk. Your work will involve the process of continuous improvement and optimising of the managed services process, tools and services.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of  

As a Finance and Accounting Managed Services Senior Associate you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Use a broad range of tools, methodologies and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems 

  • Use critical thinking to break down complex concepts 

  • Understand the broader objectives of your project or role and how your work fits into the overall strategy 

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing 

  • Use reflection to develop self-awareness, enhance strengths and address development areas.  

  • Respond effectively to the diverse perspectives, needs, and feelings of others 

  • Interpret data to inform insights and recommendations 

  • Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

  • Hands on experience in accounting or finance, with a strong track record in financial reporting and/or management accounting 

  • Pursuing your Canadian CPA or other accounting designation is an asset 

  • Experience with cloud accounting software is considered an asset 

  • Proficiency in digital and/or data analysis tools 

  • Demonstrate a self-starter mindset by proactively identifying opportunities, taking ownership of tasks, and driving projects forward, while showing flexibility and adaptability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment 

  • Approach projects with a detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout all stages of the process 

  • Demonstrate coachability by actively seeking feedback, embracing growth opportunities, and pursuing continuous development 

  • Actively mentor and support engagement team members by sharing expertise and feedback, helping them grow and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive environment for their engagements 

  • The ability to clearly present findings and recommendations, both written and verbally, is vital 

  • Prepare complex analysis and reconciliation that form components of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements across multiple entities 

  • Execute and oversee robust financial close process 

  • Knowledge of and experience in end-to-end accounting process  

  • Experience in presenting findings and results to stakeholders, both internally and externally

The salary range for this position is $65,600 - $109,300.The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.  We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
