The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of training facilitation capability and a strong working knowledge of appliance delivery and installation with a passion for developing frontline talent and improving performance through hands-on learning.

Location, Travel and Relocation Assistance:

  • Hub-based in Dallas, TX, delivering hands-on training programs for associates traveling from across the U.S.

  • In-market travel (10–25%) to support field coaching, reinforcement, and operational alignment.

  • On weeks without scheduled training, some remote work flexibility may be available, based on business needs.

  • Relocation assistance available for candidates outside of Dallas.

Responsibilities:

Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Deliver in-person and virtual training for appliance delivery and installation associates, including new hire onboarding, upskilling, and refresher training.

  • Facilitate hands-on, lab-based training at the Dallas hub, including demonstrations, guided practice, and skills validation aligned to installation and safety standards.

  • Conduct ride-alongs and in-market field observations to coach associates, reinforce best practices, and identify opportunities for performance improvement.

  • Adjust facilitation techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners, roles, and experience levels.

Curriculum & Content Support

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of training materials, including:

  • Installation and delivery standard work

  • Safety procedures, tools, and equipment usage

  • In-home professionalism and customer experience expectations

  • Quality, documentation, and compliance processes

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), operations leaders, and Learning & Development to ensure training content remains current with evolving products, processes, and policies.

  • Collaborate with Ferguson Academy Content Creation to create and update printed materials, job aids, and instructional resources used during training and in the field.

Training Effectiveness & Measurement

  • Track training attendance, completion, and proficiency through Workday.

  • Support assessments, knowledge checks, and skills validations to measure training effectiveness and associate readiness.

  • Collect feedback from participants and leaders, analyze results, and recommend enhancements to training content, delivery methods, or reinforcement strategies.

  • Support structured installer development and proficiency frameworks (e.g., installer levels or certifications), including tracking progress and readiness.

Stakeholder Partnership & Operational Alignment

  • Collaborate with branch, market, and regional leaders to understand performance gaps and training priorities.

  • Partner with Academy & Talent teams to align training delivery with onboarding, compliance, and talent development initiatives.

  • Assist with training logistics, including scheduling, class coordination, materials, tools, and lab readiness.

  • Help communicate and promote training programs and schedules to leaders and frontline teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current on best practices in adult learning, facilitation, and frontline workforce development.

  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding effectiveness, reduce quality defects, enhance safety outcomes, and elevate customer experience through targeted training interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or exposure to delivering training in a classroom, virtual, and/or hands-on environment or comparable experience coaching and developing frontline teams in field-based operations with demonstrated facilitation capability.

  • Strong appliance delivery and installation knowledge of processes or related experience in adjacent fields such as construction trades, home services installation, field service, or final-mile delivery.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills across frontline and leadership audiences.

  • Comfort using technology to deliver, manage, and track training (LMS/Workday and virtual platforms).

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for in-market support (approximately 10–25%).

  • Significant prior hands-on experience performing appliance installations.

  • Experience coaching/mentoring/training frontline associates

  • Experience contributing to curriculum design, job aids, or skills assessments.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Education, Human Resources, Operations, or related field), or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Pay Range:

$4,766.67 - $7,625.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
