0Position Summary:
The summer seasonal Field Supervisor for the Recreation Soccer League is responsible for overseeing game nights to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role requires direct supervision of on-field activities, coordination of referees and coaches, and enforcement of league policies. The Field Supervisor ensures games start on time, fields are properly set up, and all participants adhere to safety and sportsmanship standards.
Hours will vary based on candidate availability, department needs, and weather.

Game Night Operations:
Ensure all scheduled games start on time and run efficiently.
Oversee field setup and breakdown, ensuring goals, game-day materials, and equipment are properly placed.
Monitor field conditions and address any safety concerns, including implementing weather-related decisions as needed.
Serve as the primary on-site contact for referees, coaches, and participants.
Referee & Coach Coordination:
Ensure all games have assigned referees and assist with any officiating concerns.
Provide support to referees, addressing disputes and ensuring adherence to league policies.
Monitor coaches to ensure they follow league policies, promote sportsmanship, and provide a positive experience for players.
Communicate with coaches and referees regarding any changes or updates to game schedules or rules.
Player & Spectator Management:
Ensure all players, coaches, and spectators adhere to league rules and code of conduct.
Address conflicts, complaints, and disciplinary matters in a fair and professional manner.
Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants and attendees.
Administrative & Logistical Duties:
Report incidents, and disciplinary actions to league administrators.
Ensure emergency action plans are in place and executed when necessary.
Communicate with teams, parents, and staff regarding schedules, policies, and any necessary updates.
Qualifications:
At least 17 years of age.
Knowledge of soccer rules and game-day operations.
Prior experience in sports supervision, recreation programming, or league coordination preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends based on league schedule.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to have positive interactions with a diverse group of players, coaches, parents, and staff.
Ability to work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Compensation:
Starting hourly rate for Field Supervisor is $17.25 year one, $17.50 year two, and $17.75 year three. This is a seasonal position and there are no benefits.

High Physical Requirements - Job requires significant physical exertion, with tasks that involve more active movement. This job may include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, or engaging in manual labor.
