As a Field Specialist II , you will execute inspection projects using advanced automated ultrasonic testing (UT) technologies across refinery, petrochemical, and utility environments. You will support the full inspection lifecycle—from preparation and on‑site execution to post‑job analysis—while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. The role also offers a structured development path toward Project Manager certification.
As a Field Specialist II, you will be responsible for:
- Executing pre‑job, on‑job, and post‑job activities for FTIS inspection projects
- Preparing job scopes, reports, drawings, calibration checks, and inspection equipment
- Performing on‑site inspections including tool setup, calibration verification, launching and receiving inspection tools, and data quality checks
- Analyzing and processing inspection data and supporting field and final report generation
- Maintaining and cleaning inspection tools, vehicles, and shop equipment
- Completing required classroom, on‑the‑job, and self‑paced training toward Project Manager certification
- Supporting training and development of junior technicians and engineers
- Working safely at all times in line with company values, policies, and client requirements
Essential Skills
- Hands‑on experience in NDT inspection, preferably ultrasonic testing (UT)
- Strong electro‑mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
- Ability to analyze inspection data and interpret graphical results
- High attention to detail with a strong safety and quality mindset
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have documented experience as an NDT Technician (certification preferred)
- Have a technical degree or equivalent industry training/experience
- Have prior field service experience supporting technical projects
- Have the ability to travel extensively (up to 80% during peak periods)
- Have the ability to work in industrial environments, including confined spaces and heights
- Have the physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Have a valid passport and driver’s license and meet travel requirements
