Job Summary

Position Overview

ConocoPhillips Canada is seeking an IT Field Support Analyst to provide outstanding technical support across our Surmont and Montney assets. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to collaborative local, regional and global IT teams. Field Support Analysts support the smooth functioning of end-user devices, conference room technology, mobility, telephony systems, and local network equipment to help maintain system reliability and user efficiency.  

This is a 14/14 rotational position with transportation and living accommodations. Positions are available at both Surmont and Montney.  

The base salary range for this role is $97,945 – 121,485 CAD. 

 
Responsibilities: 

End User Support 

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals. 

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows, and mobile platforms. 

  • Manage new user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and device setup. 

  • Maintain asset inventory and ensure all equipment is accurately tracked, updated, and e-wasted.  

  • 24/7 support for Lower 48 specific Drilling Rigs, Completions Crews, Operations centers, DIG, SOC, etc. 

Conference Room & Collaboration Tools 

  • Assist in the setup, supply, and upkeep of conference room AV systems.  

  • Troubleshoot video conferencing, audio, and presentation issues before and during meetings. 

  • Work together with Central IT teams and facilities or vendors to guarantee equipment availability and room preparedness.  

  • Provide in-person support for Town Halls and other large meeting events. 

Telephony & Communication Systems 

  • Assist with the setup, supply, and upkeep of mobile devices.  

  • Collaborate with Central IT teams to maintain VoIP systems, desk phones, softphones, and associated user configurations.  

  • Assist with telephony hardware maintenance. 

  • Deployment of low orbit systems. 

Network & Infrastructure Support 

  • Offer hands-on assistance to central teams for basic troubleshooting of local network connectivity.  

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to monitor network performance and advance issues.  

  • Provide hands and feet support for network hardware under mentorship from central IT.  

IT Operations & Administration 

  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, including site diagrams, asset lists, and support logs. 

  • Coordinate with vendors or managed service providers for onsite repairs and upgrades. 

  • Participate in IT projects such as system rollouts, upgrades, and office moves. 

  • Ensure adherence to corporate IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment. 

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 

  • May be required to work after-hours for critical incidents or upgrades. 

  • Ability to travel to site locations (driving minimum 45 minutes from urban center to site location). 

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • ITIL 4 Foundation  

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate. 

  • Understanding of basic Oil & Gas operations is a plus. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11. 

  • Experience supporting collaboration tools. 

  • Familiarity with ITSM ticketing tools. 

  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Intune, and endpoint management solutions. 

  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. 

  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work cross-functionally with remote IT teams.
