The Role

Are you after a role that allows you to come home every night, keep your weekends to yourself and work in a clean, supportive environment with regular Monday – Friday working hours?    An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Equipment team, based in Canberra, ACT. Reporting to the Service Manager, Equipment, this role will be responsible for the mechanical work involved in repair, maintenance and servicing of turf maintenance related equipment in the golf industry within a nominated region in support of a wider national network You will be provided with regular ongoing training on all of our equipment and be part of a great organization that keeps sporting facilities, local parks and council parks running.

Responsibilities 
Effectively managing field Service priorities and schedules

  • Effectively maintaining a safe, clean, and resourced Service fleet vehicle

  • Coordinating and performing various mechanical work involved in repair, maintenance, and servicing of turf maintenance related equipment

  • Establishing and maintaining relevant service-related information

  • Providing product service training to clients as required

  • Establishing and maintaining a customer base to ensure the continued financial growth of the Service Centre

  • Undertaking regular internal product-based training to ensure OEM standards of Service can be achieved.

 Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment within the Golf industry

  • Knowledge and understanding of workings within Golf Clubs

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems, diesel and petrol engines

  • Ability to use test and diagnostic equipment to determine the cause of mechanical or electrical problems

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external customers

  • A valid Australian Motor Vehicle License
