THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Electrician (Industrial background) to join our team as a Field Service Technician in Perth.  Not the traditional electrician role, being field based, you will work across multiple customer sites gaining exposure to the latest technology and automation. Our ideal candidates are problem solvers with excellent fault-finding skills, creating partnerships with customers to provide solutions to their business needs.

You'll play a vital role in providing 24/7 national support, covering contract repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Perth region.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

Due to production requirements and customer demands, participation in an on-call roster may be required. Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays, will be necessary as operational needs dictate.

Tasks and Qualifications:

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Electrical: Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australian)

  • Trade Qualification: Certificate III - Electrotechnology & above

  • PLC experience with Siemens S7 and/or Scada WIN CC

  • Experience within automation environments (conveyors) and material handling equipment (advantageous)

  • Experience with computerised maintenance systems (MEX, Maximo, SAP)

  • Experience with pneumatic systems and components

  • Experience with hydraulic systems and components

  • Maintenance experience within high-speed production facilities,

  • Including exposure to: welding repairs, machining, repair and replacement of electro-mechanical components

  • Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven

  • Current driver’s license

  • Strong customer focus and attention to detail with all tasks

  • Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices
