Your Impact

We are looking for a Field Service Technician – Hillsboro, Oregon who will contribute to the success of the Field Service Team, applying their expertise in Service to support the achievement of team and company goals and deliver innovative, reliable solutions.  In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and maintain a commitment to professional excellence, quality and continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be addressing Particle Measuring Systems customer equipment maintenance and repair needs. The position is tasked with assuring customer satisfaction through timely and efficient maintenance and repair and continual improvement in the quality of our products and services. This position is onsite in support of a major customer in Hillsboro, OR.

Job Responsibilities

  • Calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment

  • Supporting customer calibration and maintenance of Particle Measuring Systems micro-contamination monitoring equipment

  • Researching customer problems and complaints

  • Acting as a liaison between customers and various departments

  • Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics or military equivalent

  • Ability to read schematics in English

  • Ability to trouble shoot with minimal guidance

  • 1-year minimum previous Electronics Technician experience required

  • Knowledge of lasers, and/or collecting and condensing optics helpful but not required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Team player focused on customer satisfaction and quality, with a sense of urgency

  • Required skills: communication, collaboration, organization etc.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This is an onsite position located near one of our Semiconductor industry partners in Oregon.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive $32.00 – 39.68 per hour depending upon experience

    • Our compensation philosophy: we offer competitive pay based on market data, including local, national, and industry benchmarks.  For new hires, offers are generally within the established min- to mid-point of the range for the role, with flexibility to recognize experience, skills, and education.  Our approach ensures fair pay internally while remaining competitive externally and allows room for growth.
