As a Field Service Technician based in our San Diego, CA Service Center, you’ll bring the lab to the field. You'll play a key role in collecting samples, operating equipment, and executing protocols with accuracy to deliver reliable results from the source. In this role, you'll work independently, solve problems on the fly, and adapt to changing conditions with confidence.
The compensation range for this role is $20 to $24, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Responsible for field sampling, delivery of sample containers and pick up of environmental samples
Works with field coordinator to determine the best route to minimize travel time and maximize total of jobs
Prepares proper containers and calibrates field parameters prior to each field sampling project
Performs on-site field sampling following safe and proper field sampling techniques
Performs field measurements: pH, chlorine residual, temperature, etc.
Properly fills out chain-of-custodies and follows sample acceptance procedures
Handles and drives the company vehicle in a responsible and legal manner
Schedule routine maintenance of assigned company vehicle
Adheres to company Ethics Policy and Quality Assurance Manual
Assists with the repair of field equipment including ISCO compositors and field meters
Assists with sample login as needed
Participates in focus teams as needed
Perform additional duties as requested by the department manager
